Daniil Manaenkov has joined the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics, Department of Economics at the University of Michigan as an Assistant Research Scientist. His responsibilities in RSQE include participation in the U.S. modeling effort and the preparation of national economic forecasts.
Daniil received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 2009 and also holds a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Daniil’s research interests include macroeconomics, financial economics, and monetary economics.
In the past Daniil has worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, where he has been involved in forecasting the U.S. economy.
In his leisure, Daniil enjoys tennis, cross-country skiing and autocross.
